Typical Responsibilities:

  • Greeting customers in a friendly manner and taking food and drink orders
  • Preparing and serving beverages, ranging from simple to elaborate
  • Remain calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Answering customers’ questions about menu choices
  • Promoting and recommending menu options to customers
  • Taking payment from customers
  • Maintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning, troubleshooting, and communicating any needed repairs to management
  • Keeping the work environment sanitary and organized
  • Evaluating and modifying processes to improve efficiency and quality of service
  • Listen well and communicate in a professional and friendly manner
  • Focus on customer satisfaction
  • Practice basic safety procedures with respect to equipment and handling hot beverages

We are looking for someone who loves to be in the kitchen. Our kitchen is small but mighty and we are growing with this 2nd location opening in Raleigh. A typical shift will run 5-7 hours but we offer a flexible schedule for those who wish to work more. All employees get 50% off, a shift meal with each shift and a beverage of your choosing per shift. After 60 days employees begin accruing Paid Time Off and Paid Sick Days along with having the ability to enroll for Medical and Dental Insurance at 50% cost.

Qualities and skills:

  • Knowledge of safety procedures, including safe temperatures at which ingredients must be kept and to which food must be prepared to avoid foodborne illness
  • Ability to work solo and as part of a team
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with a variety of other people, such as waitstaff, dishwashers, management and sometimes customers
  • Calm demeanor to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment
  • Accountability for the dishes they prepare measuring up to the expectations of management and customers alike
  • Comprehension and organization to follow direct orders and recipes and to correctly prepare dishes to the standards of the restaurant
  • Ability to handle tools, such as knife techniques for chopping, slicing, cutting and dicing
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils
